15 Months!

Emily got an "At minus cast" on her 15 month report card! She is our champ now in the 10th% for weight,(Lila has NEVER been out of the 5th%) 50th% for height, and >100% for head circumference! Wow has she grown! Looking at her now you would never know she was a 3 and 1/2 lb. preemie! Her development is right on track for a 12 month old, which is where she is expected to be at this point. Slowly but surely we will close the gap and be on track with her age group. Great Job Doodle!

The only disheartening news at this appointment was to hear we will have to continue with therapy for another year... I was hoping our pediatrician and developmental pedi would allow us to exit the program, but no such luck. The broken leg put us in a cast for six weeks which definitely slowed down the walking process. I'm sure she'll take those first steps as soon as we get the purple boot off! Speaking of the cast, after her pediatrician appt. we rode down in the elevator with her orthopedic surgeon. He smiled at us as soon as the doors opened and said Hello to Em by name and assured me we will get the cast off for good in two weeks! Two weeks and we'll be back to sitting in the bath tub, enjoying the park and splash pad, getting to really enjoy our messy spaghetti, not wear socks again until November... the list could go on forever! We are all hoping the next two weeks fly by!!

And here are a few pictures of Lila from today. She dressed herself in a jammie shirt, panties, and froggie boots. The boots are on the wrong feet of course but she doesn't seem to care! She's jumping like a froggie in te water puddle...
